Roosevelt Square plan needs improving

The current plan for Roosevelt Square on the Near West Side, needs to be reworked to benefit all those living in the neighborhood. Instead of low income units, those units should be set aside for the police, teachers, and fire personnel. Density of current low income will not attract any market rate buyers and then we are back to high density public housing. In order for the low income to work, it needs to diluted with a high concentration of market rate units. Also, without a public education plan, putting all of those residential units in one area will not be successful. Our neighborhood is completely underserved regarding public education for the current population, adding more people will not be possible without education being addressed.
